BENNOS HIT - Born April 2000, 14.1 HH, chestnut with blaze and four white socks.
Bennos Hit is an exceptional German Sport Pony stallion standing in Ontario Canada. He was winner of "Best of Year" at the 2002 pony stallion inspections at Mecklenburg-Voorpommern, Germany.
In 2004 he was awarded first premium with the American Sport Pony Registry and is an ASPR licensed pony stallion. He has also been accepted as an approved breeding stallion with the American Paint Pony Registry.
Bennos Hit has a great disposition, excellent conformation, wonderful paces and form over fences. He received a score of 8 for his scope over fences at the ASPR inspection in April 2004.
In June 2005 he was invited to participate in the Pony Dressage clinic with Cornelia Endres, National Trainer of German Pony Dressage Riders hosted by Lendon Gray.
He received wonderful comments about his outstanding canter.
In 2006 Bennos Hit qualified for the Star Search Sport Pony Challenge Final at the RWAF and was one of the top four finalists.
His first foal in Canada, from a quarantine test mare, received a ASPR score of 7.4 and was ASPR 2004 Reserve Futurity Champion in Eastern Canada. In 2005, his foal Bennington was ASPR high score foal in Canada with a score of 7.9 and was tied for second place in USA. In 2006 and 2007, all his foals were awarded First Premium Status at the ASPR inspections. In 2006 and Bennos Dream owned by Anne and Jim Mason was the Saturday site champion.
Bennos Hit adds class, athleticism and substance when crossed with pony mares.
He also crosses well with horse mares for owners who want to breed smaller horses but retain the warmblood appearance, disposition and movement. A cross to a 16.2 HH mare will produce a 15.2 - 15.3 offspring.
During the winter of 2008 Jane has been riding Benno with Lorraine Stubbs and plans to show him in dressage during the summer 2008. In June 2008 Benno attended his first dressage show and placed first and second in his tests.
